You are invited to participate in a research study on child safety conducted by the Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University, State University of New York. We hope to learn valuable information on child safety from parents and teachers.

     If you decide to participate, you will be directed to the survey page. The survey is anonymous and any information you provide will remain confidential. This information is not identifiable. You will be asked to provide some information about yourself, your perspectives on safety, and one or more children from your class. You are not required to obtain consent from the child to use them as an anonymous resource for answering the questions. The survey has 62 questions and may take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. The survey should be completed in full and cannot be saved and returned to at a later time.

     You will not receive any direct benefits from assisting us in this research. However, the information we gather from this research is important for understanding child safety needs and may assist in future prevention programs.

     No monetary compensation is being offered for participation in this study. You are not required to pay a fee, but you may incur usual cost for the use of your personal computer and/or online access during completion of the survey.

     If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw your participation at any time if you choose not to continue the survey. To withdraw, simply close your browser window.
